Day 10 - DoWell Projects

Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

“DoWELL” is the community outreach facet of our church. It consists of various outreach projects all over the city of Omaha. To put it simply we say, “Do well by doing good.” DoWELL partners with local organizations and nonprofits to serve through three opportunities in Omaha.

At-Risk Children

Single Parent Support Systems

Anti-Human Trafficking

These opportunities will allow us to serve our city and call to action those who are a part of Dwell Church. There are 6,231 children in foster care in Nebraska, 33% of children in Nebraska come from single-parent homes, and sexual exploitation has become so rampant in today's world that it is now an estimated $99 billion a year industry. The church can no longer stand back and only do good for those inside the building. We are mandated by God to go out, serve and set free the captured, broken, and lost people.

So today would you pray that Dwell would continue to be a light in the world not just through our message, but through our actions? Would you pray for the future families and children that we will serve will be comforted? Lastly, would you pray with us over every dollar given and every hour served is used to its greatest potential to serve our community?
