Day 7 - Groups

Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

What can you do? Be a community of people who MOTIVATE ACTS OF LOVE AND GOOD WORKS. How do we do that? TOGETHER.

SHOW UP

Just yesterday I went to the birthday of a baby in our church. He turned 1. He’s the cutest little thing, even though he won’t let me hold him I love him. I'm at this one-year-old birthday party and I had this selfish thought, I can celebrate his birthday anywhere. I mean he’s one. He’s not going to remember me not being there. But his parents would. To me, too the selfish me, I don’t need to be there. But for this family that I love, there's only one place it matters to them and that’s showing up with them.

You Don’t Need a Church For a Relationship With God!

But You Do Need a Church to Have a Relationship With Others.

So let me ask an uncomfortable question, would you show up if I invited you to the community? This week we start our Dwell Groups. They are a small group of people that meet twice monthly to be connected TOGETHER. It’s an opportunity for you to stop staring and start caring. It’s an opportunity to show up it's an opportunity for someone to care about you. Will you let them?

I’m gonna put a link at the bottom of this blog to find a group and get connected. Would you do me a favor and scan this now and take a look at an opportunity to practice the habit of consistent community?
